"China Civil Aviation News" and China Civil Aviation Network reporter Hu Xi reported: On January 15, Juneyao Airlines announced that it will invest all 117 aircraft capacity (including its Jiuyuan Airlines) during the 2024 Spring Festival travel period, and plans to carry out about 20,000 domestic and foreign flights to provide sufficient transportation capacity for passengers to return home and travel.
The 2024 Spring Festival travel period will last 40 days from January 26 to March 5. During the Spring Festival travel period, Juneyao Airlines will invest all 94 aircraft and plan to carry out approximately 15,000 flights, an increase of more than 30% compared to 2019. Among them, the growth rate of domestic routes increased by approximately 40% year-on-year, and the execution volume of international and regional routes recovered to the same period in 2019, with a total of approximately 2.5 million passengers expected to be transported. Its subsidiary Jiuyuan Airlines will invest all 23 aircraft during Spring Festival travel period this year, and plan to carry out more than 5,000 domestic and foreign flights, an increase of approximately 40% compared to 2019.
Sales data shows that air tickets for some popular routes have almost sold out in the week before the Spring Festival. Popular routes include north ice and snow tourism routes such as Changbai Mountain, Harbin and Changchun, cold escape tourism routes in Sanya, Xishuangbanna, Beihai, Hong Kong and Macao, and return routes to Chifeng, Yingkou Yulin etc. In terms of overseas tourism, the routes to Thailand, Hokkaido in Japan and Bali in Indonesia are popular with tourists, and tickets for some routes are hard to come by. Therefore, Juneyao Airlines has deployed wide-body aircraft and encrypted flights on routes such as Singapore, Osaka, and Tokyo to meet passenger travel needs.
